cordless

shhfft the cap comes off
little bubbles
dark and bitter

soothe my thoughts
dull my wit
elongate time

in time I wander
about the corners
to no end

unplugged and careless
before the end
after the beginning

salt on my tongue
my eyelids falling
time to renew

quiet falls
light escapes
canines snore at my feet

a list awaits
good ideas writ small
for tomorrow's light

when I saw the title of your poem, I immediately thought, "vibrator?" because I am always in the gutter. After reading it, thought, I thought, margarita. :)

You write some of the best poems.
